Sessions, fees & funding
We’re open Monday to Friday during term time, with morning, afternoon and all-day sessions.
Session times
- Early drop-off – from 8.30am
- Morning session – 9.00am to 12.00pm
- Afternoon session – 12.00pm to 3.00pm
Fees from 1 April 2026
Fees are payable monthly in advance.
2-year-olds – £10.15 per hour
- Morning or afternoon session: £30.45
- All-day session: £60.90
3- and 4-year-olds – £9.75 per hour
- Morning or afternoon session: £29.25
- All-day session: £58.50
Snacks are included in our fees.
Optional extras
- Early drop-off: £5
- Lunch Club (12.00pm to 1.00pm, for children who attend a morning session): charged at the hourly rate for your child’s age
- Hot school lunch: £2.50 – or your child can bring a packed lunch
Additional hours are not mandatory charges or a condition of accessing a place.
Funding
Funded hours can be used between 9.00am and 3.00pm. We accept:
- 3- and 4-year-old universal entitlement – from the term after your child turns 3, they’re entitled to 15 hours of funding a week, paid by Oxfordshire County Council. You don’t need a code or to apply.
- Funding for working parents – working parents of 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds who meet the eligibility criteria are entitled to a total of 30 hours a week. At Sonning Common Pre-School we can offer 18 hours of extended funding to eligible parents.
- 15 hours for families receiving additional support – if your child is aged between 2 and 3, you may be entitled to funding from the term after they turn 2 if you receive certain additional government support. Please contact your local authority to see whether you meet their criteria.

Childcare vouchers
We accept childcare vouchers towards payment of fees.
